Events in Ukraine that started on 21 November as an innocent protest to demand the pro-European geopolitical course led to the revolution with many victims, loss of the part of the Ukrainian territory and now there is a war with Russia.
All these events were rather shocking, it was quite a transforming experience. I always enjoyed the quietness and security in Kiev, and the new feelings of insecurity and instability that fell on us are impossible to explain or describe. Personally for me covering the events was very hard emotionally, because this is my home. I feel terrible thinking about the victims.
I will post more later, as for now here are a few videos I made.

On 28 November, a day before the violent crackdown, people sing the "Anthem of Euromaidan" - the Ode of Joy, the anthem of the EU, hoping the President would sign the agreement with the EU.
Four months later the National Presidential Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Armed Forces of Ukraine played the Ode of Joy, the Anthem of the EU in the Kiev airport, in frames of the flashmob - it was performed in 7 other international airports of Ukraine, to support the unity of Ukraine and in memory of the Heavenly Hundred - people who died during clashes.
This was a week after the crackdown, on 8 Dec 2013. In the general atmosphere of fear, bewilderment and anger girls went to police that guarded buildings, gave them flowers and chanted "don't beat, but love and protect"
The Russian propaganda popularized an opinion of the hostility towards Russian and Russian speaking people from the side of Ukrainians. As a Russian speaking person myself, I wanted to proove that is untrue and found two men from Russia who were Russian citizens, supporting the Ukrainian revolution and living at Maidan.
